STILL TASTE YOU ON MY LIPS… Lisa MissUndastood Poet
Evidence of last night’s premeditated sin.
Oh, and I will ask for Forgiveness, but don’t think I will ever forget. See, I thought I had this all under control, but damn…last night, you were on a roll!
You invited me just right
Pulled me close and held me tight.
Tongue-kissed my lips, not even neglecting the pair that throbbed under satin fabric! Enjoyed how you would ease up a little, raise your head up a little, make me beg, just a little…’Cause little did you know, you would also be at my mercy. So then grinning again, I began savoring pictures of you standing beside that bed. And as you stood. Your manhood and my gaze met eye to eye, so then I licked my lips. In anticipation of engulfing your entirety
As anxiety, raced through my body.
Then almost as if choreographed, you maneuvered me onto the bed, feet flat and legs apart, my heart…
Seemed to skip a beat as I felt the heat,
And as your tongue danced, my hips danced too
And my legs began to quiver
Cause I knew you was about to deliver
Some much needed physical abuse to my body,
My body, which now seemed to belong to you as we poetically melt into one,
From the flames of heat, created, interlocking, communicated between flesh
And with each thrust, I began to tremble, as if to indicate the orgasm soon to follow
And as I follow your lead...dance and grind my hips to your beat,
The heat intensifies then you grab my thighs, and extend them along either side of your
Perplexed physique…unique
In design, to coincide with mine
And just as I’m at my peak
You change the beat…now faster and faster and faster
Then winding down to a slow rhythm
And you lean in and grab me so tight,
That I bite…
Down on my lower lip
As I slip
Away, to ecstasy, awakening, to still taste you on my lips
Before stepping into the steamy shower, to shower away all evidence of last night!

Grown Folks Business Part I - Lisa MissUndastood Poet
‘Cause those kisses placed below waist-
Spring smile to face
And I’m trippin’…
Like bring that back to me
With your back to me…
I repay with warm kisses to strong back
Your fingers trace tattoo on my right thigh
And you speak to me
But I choke on words
As I choke on you…
Ending our Four Play like the Final Four-
This Sixty Nine deserves an encore
But we move on to grown folks business-
& love making this good needs a witness…
But I ain’t sharin’ & these 4 hips locked is enough for us-
Must be voodoo in what you do
Cause you make me cuss
I scream that same 4 letter word when I yell-
& baby you seem to follow directions so well
Back arching like a bridge over my running waters…
And I hold you
Like you ain’t going nowhere-
Baby I swear….
There must be voodoo in what you do-
Cause I wanna only conduct this grown folks business….
with You

Looking Fly For The Low Low
One of nicest things ever said to me was that I look like a million dollars every day... On that particular day, I had $2 in my pocket & didn't get paid til the next day; So u know I was feelin myself after that!
I try to impress myself daily. I like to look good because it makes me feel good... But I'm broke! So, Meek, how do you look good without any money?
#1. I shop regularly and window shop even more. 50 Cent got ya thinking that window shopping is lame, but I watch for deals. My kids and I kick it at Macy's, we don't always buy, but we look! For instance, I saw this hot Apple Bottoms fit, jacket, top and jeans... $300. I waited, caught it on clearance and copped it for $150, with tax 60% off of each piece!
#2. I shop off season. School clothes in July. Winter boots in February. Winter coats on the spring. That's harder to do when your kids are younger but even then I bought 1-2 sizes bigger. Now, my kids are older, I'm more experienced so when my youngest son went from a size 6 shoe to an 8, I knew that we were gonna peep out Macy's and see what the young men's jeans were going for, since he'd be needing some soon.
#3. I love Macy's... But I spend my money at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Citi Trends!!! I like Burlington and I can get with Villa.
#4. I don't knock consignment shops, they are a really smart move but I don't buy clothes there. The whole shopping by color thing gives me adult ADHD... But that's just me...
#5. My clothes need to be cute, clean and fit properly... That's all. I don't shop by brand, I love some name brands, but they don't define me!
#6. CLEARANCE, CLEARANCE, CLEARANCE!!!
Lastly... Never, ever throw away any shoes. Unless they are too small or beat up, keep them. Make space. I promise, you won't regret it.

Blowing Your Income Tax Money
I hear it all the time, it's free money. I won't miss it... Shiiiit!!! Not me, baby.
We do our taxes, get a lump sum from $1000-10,000, then blow it on bullshit. Why? First of all, it's NOT free money. You worked all year, payed your FICA, then act like that didn't just happen. The government INVESTS your money, earns interest then gives you Earned Income Credit. The least you can do is spend it wisely. If we did that, there wouldn't be so many pay day loan sharks. Or Christmas loans. Or pawn shops.
Now, I plan my taxes to the penny. I know what I want to do, then do it. I pay my car insurance up for the year. Pay my mortgage for several months so that I can have some breathing room and I make one extra payment... Get them off of my back a little earlier.
I also account for what I can/ will blow. I don't ball out, just get the things that would break me to get during the year. Pay for my vacation for the year. Next year, I'm buying a motorcycle! I "wardrobe" it at tax time, then buy clothes during the year.
I put money up. It's hard to go back to being broke after balling out, so save some. Use it for your Memorial Day bar-b-q. Or your 4th of July weekend trip to the Essence Festival!
Just remember, it's your money. Do you- wisely!!

Balancing Home, Work and School
Now more than ever, most of us feel like there aren't enough hours in the day. We have Full time jobs, families and just when we seem to "manage" that, the realization hits... "I need to go back to school". Whether it's to finish a degree, upgrade a skill or completely change careers, it must be done.
But how? There's still only 24 hours in a day and approximately 8 of those we've given to our jobs- which let's face it, we need. And if you know like I do, children will occupy what's left- and sometimes, interfere in those that are designated elsewhere.
I have compiled a list (just 3 quick tips because I know you don't even have the to read this article) on ways to save yourself a little time.
#1. Cook more than one meal at a time. I have weekends off, so i would cook for my family on Sunday for the entire week... It doesn't take much extra time but saved me plenty during the week.
#2. Use your commute as "me time". Kinda sucks, but it's better than not having any! I LOVE music and I rarely talk on the phone while in the car... I hang out. I enjoy my music, arrange my day and MAKE NOTE of things that need to be done... At a later time.
SIDE NOTE: whenever possible- leave work AT WORK.
#3. Is the hardest. I took a course that required little to no homework, buy that's my field of study as I made a complete career change. It won't be that easy for most people but remember, there are online classes (no commute time) Tele-classes (to be done at your convenience) and when neither of those are possible, have your kids help you study. That shows them how important studying is and it can also be classified as quality time. Hey, whatever works, right?
Nothing beats the necessity of a great support system. If it's just to buy you a little free time, run errands with the kids while you study or give you 30 minutes to refocus; having someone in your corner makes things more doable. If there is no one, take a vacation day from work. Don't tell anyone and make sure the kids are in school/daycare!
Good Luck!

No Respect For Fantasia
Po lil Tink Tink... Well actually, I kinda feel her. Fantasia dissed the Grammy's this weekend and "went through her own lil thing" due to the fact that she was left out of the Aretha Franklin tribute. Tasia said that the Queen of Soul is her idol and she would have had a hard time in the audience while Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride and Florence Welsh - along with Jennifer Hudson and Yolanda Adams paid homage. "Truth is"... I personally thought that she would be the perfect replacement for Mrs. Franklin in the movie role that Halle turned down.
Fantasia decided to stay at home and cook as she watched the awards show and could not stop crying when her manager, who accepted her award, told her that she'd won the Grammy for Best Female Vocal Performance for "Bittersweet".
In better news for Tasia, she will be playing Mahalia Jackson in an upcoming movie - so she will be able to give props to at least ONE of her idols.
We wish you all the best Ms. Barrino! Do you.
